Facilities
Yarram Primary School, No. 693, has a long and proud history, being one of the oldest schools in the State. It opened towards the end of 1861 and 1986 marked 125 years of continuous education here. Enrolment rose from 23 pupils in 1861 to 389 in 1968. The present enrolment is 156.
The school became a H.E.S. in 1918 and a High School in 1951, with both the Primary and Secondary classes sharing the same site until 1956 when the present Yarram Secondary College opened. Part of the school (and records) was destroyed by fire in 1951. It was replaced by what is now our multipurpose room (Bristol). The present brick veneer building replaced the old wooden school in 1966. Since then parents have provided a canteen, darkroom, staffroom, withdrawal room and an art shed which was replaced by one of the most modem art facilities in the state in 1990.

Yarram Primary School has actively sought to improve the learning environment for its students over the past decade, focusing on both facilities upgrades to buildings and equipment, as well as improvements to the school grounds.
